Moods change in an instant. Irritation, happiness, anger . . . a simple everyday action or event can be a trigger. The mood swings associated with bipolar affect us mentally as well as physically.
How much do the mood changes affect those around us? Can others detect how much bipolar affects us?
When my mood drops, I withdraw. My replies are short and simple, a few words instead of full sentences. If someone knows me well enough, they will recognize the signs.
If you know someone with bipolar, take the time to learn about the disorder.
