Bipolar is difficult to understand. The brain misfires at times, even if we take the prescribed medications.
For example, I don't sleep very well. My eyes close, but the 'movie' in my mind never stops. There are bits and pieces of daydreams, snippets of activities I did that day or week, and short scenes of work in progress. They don't follow a pattern and they don't scare me. But they do keep me awake and cut my sleep until I can barely function.
If I could just turn the switch to off for the night. . .
