Bipolar is complicated. Therefore, the medications that help keep the disorder under control are often complicated as well. Anti-psychotics and mood stabilizers work together, each managing a portion of the symptoms. The hard part is figuring out the best combination to help.

However, medication can't do everything. We need to work at keeping a positive attitude and accepting ourselves as we are. Bipolar is a condition, the same as diabetes is a medical condition. We didn't choose it but we can choose to fight it.
