Predicting the cycles of bipolar is impossible. The pattern changes. The highs and lows vary in severity. Outside factors aren't always the same.
We control one symptom but cannot manage others. Days and weeks pass when we're doing so well we tend to push the diagnosis to the back of our mind. We know it's there. We take our medication each day. Yet we're doing so well the disorder isn't an issue.
Or does it have us fooled? What about the poor sleep habits? Or the constant eating? What about feeling antsy? Maybe they aren't severe, but they're reminders, showing us the disorder is still trying to take over.
Bipolar doesn't go away. The symptoms and patterns change. We can control the disorder. Be aware. Never let your guard down. Stay strong.
